Site Projects Manager – Power, Oil & Gas, Data Center, and/or District Energy Industries 

The company provides custom power augmentation and energy plant solutions for power generation and utilities, liquefied natural gas (LNG), data center, biopharma, and other markets. The innovative solutions include combined cycle power plant conversions, turbine inlet air chilling, inlet air conditioning (heating and cooling), evaporative cooling, direct contact air chilling, thermal energy storage, district cooling, and central utility plants. The company’s experience spans more than 20 years and stretches across the globe, with offices in the United States, Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. 

Summary Objective 

Manages and oversees all elements of construction, design, contractor, costs, budget, procurement, scheduling, and reporting of the Iraq projects from inception to conclusion. 

Essential Functions: 

Manages project execution for all Iraq projects. 

Coordinates manages, and directs project kick-offs. 

Meeting senior-level clients and government officials. 

Provide HQ staff with updates. 

Coordinates the reviews and comments on the scope of work, contract, specifications and supplementary client documentation. 

Generates and obtains management approval of an execution plan. 

Monitors and updates project schedules to ensure milestones are met. 

Collaborates with other departments to resolve issues that arise during the project life cycle. 

Ensures and/or develops documentation and other client deliverables are submitted promptly. 

Coordinates between internal resources, clients, vendors, sub-contractors, contractors, and technicians throughout execution. 

Directs fabrication, installation, and start-up issues throughout execution. 

Coordinates and directs in-progress inspections at the fabrication shop. 

Calculates building costs to generate change orders and provide backup documentation. 

Generates project budgets (CAVs) and modifies, as necessary, over the course of the project life cycle. 

Creates and maintains a detailed cash flow and man-hours usage to ensure the project stays on budget. 

Creates reports and projections for various levels within the organization. 

Completes project closeout (i.e., punch list items, client final acceptance, etc.); and 

Responsible for warranty requests by generating and executing a corrective action plan. 

Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Work Environment 

This job is based between Iraq and the regional office, and generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at fabrication shops and job sites. 

Job safety needs to be considered the top priority at all times. 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. 

Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position. 

Travel 

Travel is required for this role to project sites and travel as needed. 

Required Education and Experience 

Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or management-related discipline 

A minimum of 3 years of international experience in project and / or construction management 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise resource planning 

Must have a major OEM background 

Mechanical background and construction experience 

Preferred Education and Experience 

Master’s degree in construction, engineering or management-related discipline 

5 years’ experience in the power, oil & gas, data center and / or district energy industries 

Certified as a Project Management
