Principal Onshore Pipeline Engineer – Oil and Gas industry
Primary objective
Be the Lead Pipeline Engineer on the project related to onshore pipelines and to provide guidance & technical advice to the Pipeline Engineering team.
Essential Skills/Experience
Duties will include the following:
– Experience in preparation of Pipeline Design documents independently and complete the design activities within specified schedule & budget.
– Self-motivated, shall work independently leading the team of engineers & designers for the project with effective communication with Project Managers/PEMs and Discipline Manager.
– Pro-active, should be able to guide Engineers & Designers on technical and non-technical issues towards effective solutions.
– Capable of executing multiple tasks and delivering it efficiently within specified schedule.
• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent Degree in Mechanical / Pipeline Engineering
• Affiliation to engineers’ association/institute bodies shall add additional advantage.
• At least 15 years pipeline design engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Capabilities of working with various project teams (Ability to manage projects)
• Active contributor in developing creative solutions to optimize work delivery and an avid learner.
• Well developed report writing and communication skills
• Extensive experience in Pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design of Oil and Gas pipelines.
• Computer skills particularly in the use of CEASER package for stress analysis and knowledge of the onshore pipeline design calculations for wall thickness, buoyancy, upheavel buckling, etc. in Excel/ Math Cad.
• Project management and project control skills are essential.
• Experience in middle east onshore pipeline projects would be an advantage.
Requirements
• At least 15 years pipeline design engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Extensive experience in Pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design of Oil and Gas pipelines.
• Computer skills particularly in the use of CEASER package for stress analysis and knowledge of the onshore pipeline design calculations for wall thickness, buoyancy, upheavel buckling, etc. in Excel/ Math Cad.
