Change Management & Strategy Consultant – Refining or gas industry
We are seeking a Change Management & Strategy Consultant to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization under the technical support team. The technical support is a multi-disciplinary team that provides the required high-quality technical support to GM operating facilities (Refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants) inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the globe. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design innovative digital solutions. Your primary role will be to support the Global Manufacturing Digital Transformation programs which aim at maximizing the digital value realization, utilization and benefits by deploying innovative and efficient digital transformation solutions and technologies across Global Manufacturing facilities. You will provide overall technical vision and recommendations for Manufacturing Decision Support and Visualization and Manufacturing Production Solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accelerate digitalization by working closely with key stakeholders to develop the digital strategy, roadmaps and partner with implementation teams to ensure the successful delivery of the digital platforms.
- Review and analyze user requirements, recommend and develop solution proposals to meet customer’s requirements and ensuring the alignment with enterprise-wide digital architecture strategy.
- Review business process and functional requirements to optimize the solution architecture requirement for the solution, recommending potential options, (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution.
- Participating in technology selection, controlling solution development and Supporting project management.
- Communicates the optimized architecture to the stakeholders, collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of proposed standards and procedures.
- Ensure that proposed solution not only fulfils the functional requirements but also comply with the standards guidelines of technology solutions.
- Supports the architectural aspects of all digital plant application projects.
- Perform digital architecture governance function by conducting formal reviews of the project artefacts to ensure alignment with the overall digital architecture vision.
- Develop policies and standards for digital platforms governance and solutions architecture.
- Develop and maintain digital platform architecture blueprints.
- Communicate and present Digital architecture proposals to peers and senior management.
- Develop business architecture and capability maps guidance to the delivery team.
- Design scalable and integrated digital solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration of solutions into D&TMD’s existing ecosystem.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.
10 years’ experience as a solution architect within refining or gas plants with strong knowledge in designing, implementing and commissioning of digital plant solutions for refinery or gas plants.
Fundamentals of Engineering, Professional Engineering, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent certification.
ISA 95 Model Architecture and its associated functions.
Enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman and architecture analysis for decomposing business processes into functional, application, and data architectures.
Software technologies and vendors evaluation and selection based on quantitative decision analysis methods.
Previous experience in developing business case and benefit/cost analysis for Digital Plant solutions.
TOGAF, Open Group Open Certified Architect (Open CA) or any other relevant Architecture certification.
A solid understanding of the latest digital technologies including Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, IoT, data science and analytics, cloud computing, Integration, DB technologies (relational, timeseries) etc.
Experience in designing and deploying solutions in cloud-native enterprise applications in public, private and hybrid cloud models (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift).
An entrepreneurship and product mindset to provide the technical leadership in the development of technical designs, functional specification and relevant documentation as per company’s standards
Deep understanding of the microservices, headless and event driven and Integration architecture.
